Nolen Wayne  Otts
Nolen Wayne Otts, age 54, of Helena went to be with the Lord Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at his residence

Mr. Otts was born in Washington State and lived briefly in Panamá and resided in Montgomery until he was accepted into the Alabama School of Fine Arts. He resided in Jefferson County most of his life and recently moved to Shelby County. He was an artist who did graphic design, illustrations, paintings and caricatures.

He formerly worked at a local TV Station as their art director.

Nolen’s Christian faith was very important to him. He was a spiritual seeker.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Ellen Smith Otts; two step children, Sara Robbins and Neil Robbins (Ashley); a beloved grandson, Connor Robbins; his parents, Mackey Otts and Shelia McFall (Buck); step mother, Kay Marshall; two sisters, Carmen Roa and Jessica Montine Brown (David); and many nieces and nephews. Nolen said he was the rarest of men, a man who loved his mother-in-law, Mae Smith who also survived him.

A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, November 19, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. at Valhalla Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home…from 12:00 noon until 1:00 P.M.
