Obituary for Roger Hinton Thrasher

Roger Hinton Thrasher
Roger Hinton Thrasher, age 66, of Hueytown passed away Saturday, February 11, 2017 at his residence.

Mr. Thrasher was a native of Farmington, Georgia where he lived most of his life. He resided in St. Clair County for thirty years and resided in Hueytown for the past year. He retired from the Anniston Army Depot in Anniston, Alabama and worked most of his life as a technician for Heating and Cooling. Mr. Thrasher was a former member of Eagles of Forestdale and was a member of the Baptist Faith. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rastus and Ruth Thrasher.

Mr. Thrasher is survived by his wife, Mildred D. Thrasher; a son, Mark Timothy Durden (Tracy); two grandchildren, Justin Kyle Durden and Brooke Lee Durden; and one sister, Linda Burkhalter (Ed).

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. at Valhalla Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Mike Simpson officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. prior to the service. A graveside service will follow at Valhalla Cemetery.
