Faye Scurlock Owens
Faye Scurlock Owens, age 81 of Midfield, Alabama passed away on August 21, 2017 at Perry County Nursing Home in Marion, Alabama.
Ms. Owens was a native and life long resident of Alabama living the vast majority of her life in Birmingham where she retired from U. S. Steel with over twenty years of service. She was a long time member of Fairfield Highlands Baptist Church. She as preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Owens, Sr., a daughter, Rebecca Scott, and a son, Jim Abernathy.
She is survived by a son, Bubba Owens (Jolee) and a daughter, Robin Dewberry; ten grandchildren; Chris, Jason, Joshua, Shilo, Nicholas, Hunter, Genny, Taylor, Dylan, and Peyton; three great grandchildren, Bentley, Sophia, and Camden; two sisters, Etta Perry and Audrey Kornegay (Lonza).
Services will be Thursday, August 24, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at Valhalla Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Ed Cruce officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Valhalla Cemetery.
