Obituary for George Henry Schrader

George Henry Schrader, age 86, of Shelby, Alabama went to his Heavenly Home on December 29, 2017. He was a native and life long resident of Shelby County where he retired from McWane Pipe Company with thirty three years of service and was a member of Bay Springs Baptist Church. He was a hard working family man loved by everyone. Mr. Schrader was an avid fisherman and good friend to many and will be missed. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara L. Schrader and one daughter, Sharon Letlow.

Mr. Schrader is survived by one son, Steve Schrader (Amy); three daughters, Diana Lovoy (Al), Cindy Thornton (Marc), and Kelly Wilson; 9 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; one brother, Edward Schrader and one sister Dorothy Sparta.

Services will be held on Thursday, January 4, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at Valhalla Chapel with H. A. Smith and Jeff “Bama” Ritch officiating. Burial will be held at Bay Springs Cemetery in Shelby, Alabama. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 from 5-7 P.M. at Valhalla Funeral Home.
